Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a non-invasive healing art that relieves tensions deep in the body using a combination of intention and the idea that everything is connected.
A series of hand placements over the body balance the cerebral spinal fluid as it moves through the central nervous system, nourishing and protecting the brain and spinal cord. Craniosacral Therapy releases any areas that are slowing down the process or any “kinks” in the system. Very little pressure is used. Despite its name, CST is a full body treatment. The client remains fully clothed and relaxes on a massage table for about an hour during treatment, but CST can also be done from a sitting position if needed.
CST has had marked results with autism, learning disabilities, MS, migraines, and TMJ Disorder.
Coming for a massage but curious about CST? Ask Lisa for a few minutes of CST during your appointment! For more information about craniosacral therapy, check out the Upledger Institute here: http://www.upledger.com.
